Last week I didn’t write in my blog at all. I meant to – I just didn’t. I’m a bit disappointed with myself. You see, I was doing my best to commit to writing two posts a week, and for the first time since I began this blog earlier in the year, I didn’t. I did get a bit busier than I normally do, but if I prioritised properly, I could have managed to post something. I’ve written about motivation and prioritisation before – I know I could have done it, so I won’t use any excuses.
Sometimes I don’t have good weeks. I was optimistic finishing university, and so the reality I’m currently living in can get me down. I’m not where I thought I would be, no matter how hard I try, and it can get tiring trying to keep my spirits up.
With hard work, patience, and a bit of luck I know I’ll end up where I need to be. Life will eventually work itself out the way it’s supposed to – but knowing this doesn’t comfort me. There’s that small niggling voice inside my head that whispers, “what if it doesn’t?”
I know I shouldn’t listen to these thoughts, but sometimes I do and so I slip up a bit. I lose motivation and I don’t get anything done – including writing in this blog for a week. Even today, I’m struggling with this lack of motivation, but I’m proud that I managed to get something done today.
- Do you have bad weeks where you get nothing done?
- Have you ever made a blog schedule?
- If you did have a blog schedule and you didn’t stick to it, were you disappointed?
- Do you struggle to remain optimistic?
- How do you keep motivated and on task?
