Twenty-One Things I Learned by the Age of Twenty-One

Twenty-One Things I Learned By Twenty-One

Though I’m far from an expert when it comes to learning and life, I have learned a few things over the past twenty-one years. What did you learn by the time you reached this milestone?

Below are a couple of things I discovered over the years:

  1. It’s okay to say no to things.
  2. However, it can also be a good idea to say yes to things from time to time.
  3. Don’t bother trying to please everyone.
  4. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad about yourself or your choices.
  5. Do what makes you happy.
  6. Sometimes you’ll make mistakes.
  7. Things won’t always turn out the way you think they would, for better or worse.
  8. Sometimes you’ll have a hard time knowing if you’re making the right decisions.
  9. It’s okay to get help for your mental health.
  10. It’s perfectly fine to be a mess sometimes.
  11. You should learn how to put yourself first.
  12. Don’t let fears and insecurities hold you back from your own ambitions.
  13. Do not put Mac ‘n Cheese in the microwave longer than the recommended time.
  14. You almost always have a bit of tea left over in the mug you forgot about.
  15. You won’t be in contact with people you thought would be life-long friends.
  16. Stop judging people.
  17. Sometimes you just need leave the house and get some fresh air.
  18. Take breaks from the mindless Facebook scrolling.
  19. Exercising, believe it or not, really is good for you.
  20. So are fruits and vegetables.
  21. There is still so much more to learn.

  1. I love this post! I am twenty-one as well, and I can relate to almost all of these. Especially the last one. There is always room to grow. I used to think it was annoying, and I hated change. Now I embrace it.

  2. I often visit your website and have noticed that you don’t update it often. More frequent updates will
give your site higher authority & rank in google. I know that writing posts
takes a lot of time, but you can always help yourself with miftolo’s tools which will shorten the time of creating an article to a few seconds.
